Relocating to Spain — Complete Legal & Administrative Support

Moving to Spain involves more legal and administrative steps than most expats anticipate. We provide end-to-end relocation support — visa, residency, NIE, padrón, healthcare, tax planning, property and Spanish wills — all coordinated from a single English-speaking team.

What relocating to Spain actually involves

Moving to Spain is not a single transaction. It is a sequence of interrelated steps over months: choosing the right visa, applying through the Spanish consulate in your home country, arriving and registering for residency, getting a NIE, registering on the padrón at your local town hall, opening Spanish bank accounts, applying for healthcare access, registering Spanish tax obligations, and (often) buying or renting property.

Each step has prerequisites and consequences. Get the order wrong and you can be left in legal limbo. Our role is to plan the sequence around your situation — family status, employment, income source, target region — and execute it as a coordinated project.

Common relocation paths we manage

Retirement relocation (NLV)

UK, Irish, US, Canadian and Australian retirees moving to Spain on the Non-Lucrative Visa. We handle the visa application, post-arrival residency registration, healthcare arrangements, Spanish bank account setup and (often) property purchase.

Digital nomad / remote-worker relocation (DNV)

Remote employees and freelancers moving to Spain on the Digital Nomad Visa. We handle the DNV application, Beckham Law tax election, social security coordination and ongoing tax compliance.

Family relocation

Families moving together require coordinated visa applications for all members, school enrolment guidance, and dependent-residency planning. We coordinate with schools, healthcare providers and the Spanish authorities.

Executive / corporate relocation

Employees relocated by an employer to Spain. We handle Spanish residency setup, Beckham Law tax registration, social security registration and coordination with corporate HR.

Pre-Brexit UK national ‘returning’ to Spain

UK nationals who had Spanish residency pre-Brexit but lost it. We assess Withdrawal Agreement rights and reinstate residency where possible.

How we work

Most relocation clients work with us remotely until they arrive in Spain. We hold an initial planning consultation by video, agree the relocation roadmap, set up the visa applications, and coordinate the post-arrival residency setup. We continue as your ongoing Spanish legal team for the annual tax filings, residency renewals, will updates and any other matters that arise.

  • Initial planning consultation: 60-90 minutes by video, in English
  • Written relocation roadmap with timelines and costs
  • Fixed-fee structure on visa applications and standard services
  • Continuing English-speaking legal support after arrival
