Social Media Policy

Last Updated: 1st August 2025

1. Scope and Purpose

This Social Media Policy governs how Platinum Legal Spain (“PLS”, “we”, “our”, “us”) manages and interacts with users on our official social media channels. It outlines expectations for engagement, explains how we handle personal data shared through social platforms, and sets out the limitations of our content published on these channels.

This policy is designed to protect both users and our organisation, ensuring a safe, respectful, and legally compliant online environment.

2. Platforms Covered

This policy applies to all current and future social media platforms where Platinum Legal Spain maintains an official presence, including but not limited to:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • LinkedIn
  • TikTok
  • YouTube
  • Google Maps / Google Business Profile
  • Google Ads and related advertising platforms

It also applies to any other emerging platforms where PLS may establish a presence in the future.

3. Informational Nature of Content

All content shared on our social media accounts — including posts, stories, comments, videos, and advertisements — is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, tax advice, or professional counsel, and should not be relied upon as such.

While we aim to ensure that all information is accurate and up to date, laws and regulations change frequently, and we make no guarantee as to the accuracy or completeness of any content published on our social media platforms.

4. No Client Relationship Created

Interactions with our social media accounts, including likes, follows, comments, direct messages (DMs), or mentions, do not create a client relationship. A client relationship with Platinum Legal Spain is established only after a formal engagement agreement is signed and any required fees are paid in accordance with that agreement.

5. Privacy and Data Handling

Any personal data you share with us through social media (for example, via comments, messages, or forms linked from our profiles) will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please note that information you post publicly (such as comments or reviews) is visible to other users and may not be protected by confidentiality.

We strongly advise users not to post or share sensitive personal information (e.g., passport details, financial information) on public comment threads. For secure communication, please use our official website contact forms or client portal.

6. Community Guidelines and User Conduct

When engaging with our social media content, users agree to adhere to the following rules:

  • Do not post defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory content towards PLS, its staff, collaborators, or other users.
  • Do not share misleading, false, or unlawful information.
  • Do not use our platforms to promote unrelated products, services, or commercial activities (spam or advertising).
  • Do not share confidential or proprietary information without proper authorisation.
  • Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

Violation of these guidelines may result in removal of content, blocking of users, and, where appropriate, reporting to the relevant platform or authorities.

7. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property

All content created and published by Platinum Legal Spain on social media platforms — including text, images, graphics, and videos — is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may share our content for personal, non-commercial use provided proper attribution is given and the content is not altered or misrepresented.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit our social media content without our prior written permission.

8. Moderation and Removal of Content

We reserve the right to monitor, moderate, and remove any comments, posts, or messages on our social media channels that violate this policy, applicable laws, or community standards of the respective platform. We may also block or restrict users who repeatedly breach these rules or engage in harmful behaviour.

9. Third-Party Content and Links

Our social media profiles may include links to third-party websites or share content from other accounts. These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only; we do not endorse or control the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites.

10. Limitation of Liability

Platinum Legal Spain is not liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of our social media channels, reliance on content posted there, or any interactions with other users. Content provided via social media is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current at all times.

11. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Social Media Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or social media platforms themselves. Updates will be posted on this page, with the “Last Updated” date modified accordingly. Continued use of our social media platforms following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
